<p>As a part of this vision of providing high quality support to our customers, we are proud to launch our Support Portal. Our customers can now raise tickets through any of the following three medium, get a trouble ticket number and track the progress of their open ticket.</p>
<p>A trouble ticket can be opened by any of the following three methods:</p>

<p>A VADODARA-based firm is planning to free the world of the hassles an airline passenger goes through when a flight is rescheduled. It has developed a system that will help airlines automatically inform all passengers of a flight about the delay in the event of the flight being rescheduled.</p>
<p>The company, Phonon.in which was launched by Samish Makhija, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad alumni, provides new media customer interaction and automation solution.</p>

<p>The automated flight reschedule information system has already been deployed by UBICS, the information technology services arm of the UB Group for Kingfisher Airlines.</p>
<p>Now, the company is also planning roll out a solution for airline ticket booking through a GPRS system and simple SMS.</p>
<p>Mr Ujwal says that the automated flight reschedule information dialer for aviation industry would enable airlines to reduce costs as well as bail them out from aggravated customers on account of the delays in flights. The company is targeting a flourishing breed of private airliners that are facing immense challenges in maintaining the flight schedules due to congestion on airports and weather conditions.</p>
<p><span>“There are great opportunities ahead with increasing applications of telecom technology in business with changing dynamics. We are developing applications for new generation industries such as organised retailing, aviation, travel and tourism, banking and finance among others,” said 27-year-old Mr Ujwal Makhija with prior work experience at Tata Consultancy Services and overseas travel companies.<br />

<p><span>Makhijas are in talks with national and international information technology companies for marketing and technological alliances.<br />

<p><span>It recently joined hands with Conterra Systems of Netherlands for technology and shortly going to ink a marketing agreement with Pune based Onesutra, travel technology marketer. Mr Ujwal claimed to be working for number of Indian companies to design and manage their IT requirements.<br />

<p><span>The father-son duo are also planning to set up a marketing office overseas. “Our exposure to the industry, technology and management would have enabled us to set up company in any part of the world. But Vadodara is the place where the cost of operations is minimal. The availability of talent in the city is not a problem with large number of graduates from all the disciplines passing out,” said Ujwal, an electronics engineer from city-based Maharaja Sayajirao University.</span></p>

<p>One of Phonon.in’s latest offering is what it calls a click4call solution that connects customers with marketers, by punching in a phone number while surfing the Web. Immediately, a Web server makes a call connecting the visitor to the advertiser.</p>
<p>Founded in 2006 by Ujwal Makhija, the proprietorship firm provides so-called computer telephony integration, interactive voice response and mobile solutions. Makhija says Phonon’s success will depend on its execution skills as well as support to users. Firms such as OnMobile Global Ltd make for competition for the profitable Vadodara firm that topped Rs1 crore revenue mid-2008.</p>
<p>Phonon has an early mover advantage in India, says Rajesh Srivathsa, managing partner, Ojas Venture Partners, but “there exist quite a few companies that provide (such) solutions (overseas)”.</p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;">A solution for marketers who find it difficult to deal with customers renegading mid-way through online transactions or web-visitors considering feedback forms as a black box, is available now. The Click-to-Call application developed by interactive voice response systems provider Phonon.in allows customers to speak to marketers right at the moment they need or are thinking about them while checking out website.</span></p>
<p>Whenever a visitor to website wishes to speak to a service provider or marketer he just punches in his phone number and the Click-to-Call server makes immediate outbound calls to the visitor and to the helpline support queue. It offers solution to bring the two parties—a potential customer and the marketer—together, so they can speak to each other.</p>
<p>“Click-to-Call can be conveniently placed at various locations on websites of vendors or service providers. It is an ideal solution for marketers of office, industrial and agricultural equipments and agents for real estate and employment. The solution is also very much helpful to service providers in the areas of travel, finance, education, health and beauty besides others. It enables marketers to manage and predict costs by setting up charge limits or maximum call durations,” says Ujwal Makhija of Vadodara based Phonon.in.</p>
<p>With a 15-member team, Phonon.in has partnered with Canada-based Dialogic Corporation for developing solutions. Makhija claims to have completed over 20 implementations with a 100% success rate in implementation managing close to a million calls a day across various systems. The company was launched by Samish Makhija, an IIM-A alumnus with his son Ujwal, an IIM-C alumnus who is the CEO. Former CEO of Sify.com R Ramaraj is an advisor on its board.</p>
<p>Among other features, Click-to-Call has a built-in business logic for handling errors in connections such as busy tones, no reply, network congestion and intelligent retries while trying to connect parties. The programme also sets the Click-to-Call option availability only during office hours and generates report on out-of-office hour requests backed by SMS services to leave contact numbers if unable to connect or get customer feedback post-call.</p>
<p>After signing with a leading online classified advertiser and three small vendors, the Makhijas are developing a website for direct selling of the service, especially to SMEs. “It is a new field and we want to capitalise on our early entry in this segment. Our service is adding lot of value and marketers are witnessing impressive increases in their sales through their websites,” says Ujwal Makhija.</p>
<p>Phonon.in is also set to roll out yet another communication solution for call conferencing. It is an audio conferencing product for Indian companies, which helps cut down costs of communication. Normally, when there are a few people who need to get on a call together, a person makes two calls. Despite paying for two calls, caller ends up with a cumbersome process.
